Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth Are Back In The Studio, Together

It has been more than a decade since Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth released music together. The early 1990s Elektra Records duo released a handful of songs since 1994’s The Main Ingredient. While the Mount Vernon and New Rochelle, New Yorkers have been guarded about adding to their celebrated catalog of releases, the acclaimed duo has toured in the 2010s.

Last night (February 25), Pete Rock posted a photo of he and C.L. in a recording studio. Featuring the hashtag “#WeBack,” the producer for Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., and Heavy D & The Boyz titled the work “meeting of the minds.”

Lmao! Had a great meeting of the minds with da big homie! #itsaboutdattime #hiphop4life #weback ????
