Freddie Gibbs & Madlib Announce Sophomore Collabo Album

In March of 2014, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib released Pinata. A Top 40 release on the Madlib Invazion imprint, the album would be a chart pinnacle for both veteran artists. With Gibbs rhyming over Madlib beats, the release featured the likes of Scarface, Raekwon, and Mac Miller, among many guests.

This weekend (May 7), Madlib confirmed a 2016 follow-up during an audience with the Red Bull Music Academy. That album will be reportedly titledĀ Bandana. According to a HipHopDX report on the live audience, the Oxnard, California native revealed that Gibbs specifically rhymed over beats that were submitted for Kanye West’s February, 2016 release The Life Of Pablo.
