In speaking about the album, REKS says “my goal is to return to the simplicity of dope bars over dope beats formula, in a time where lyricism is lost on too many listeners. I want my name in the forefront as the alternative to today’s typical music choice.”

REKS’ lead single, “The Recipe,” is produced by Nottz, with cuts by DJ Kerosene, and it delivers on the Boston MC’s promise. Opening with cuts of “guess what’s on the menu for breakfast,” REKS sounds hungry on the track, as he attacks it with unwavering ferocity.
