Smoke DZA is believed to be currently in the lab with Pete Rock, working on Don’t Smoke Rock. As that makes its way to the public, the Harlem, New York veteran keeps his output strong.

Whether working with Pete, or past affiliates such as Harry Fraud, DJ Dahi, or Ski Beatz, the Surf School ally seems to have a versatile command on tracks. Big on ad-libs, and the slow, nasal flow, this time DZA hops on a 183rd track called “Vision Me.” With a processed operatic vocal sample that sounds like a woman reaching her highest notes, Smoke DZA talks slick about a day in his life, and his network of street cats.
