D.I.T.C. Goes Diggin’ In The Crates For Rare Photos & Footage (Video)

The Diggin’ In The Crates crew has released its second completely crew-inclusive album in 16 years. That LP, D.I.T.C. Studios celebrates the newly-opened Bronx, New York recording studio where Showbiz, Lord Finesse, and Buckwild regularly craft dusty tracks. Also home to O.C., A.G., Diamond D, and Fat Joe, the legendary collective (who lost Big L to a fatal shooting in 1999) has released a ton of music this year—honoring their rich legacy and restored bond.

“Make ‘Em So Proud (Hold Up)” was one of the first releases from D.I.T.C. this year. The lyrics are from A.G., Joe, and Diamond, with production by Motif Alumni. For the video, the Diggin’ goes in the crates for archival footage (including of Big L), photographs, and some video from the making of the new album. Notably, the careful editing matches up a lot of the verses from ‘Dre, Joe, and D-Squizzy with the actual imagery of what they’re talking about. Coming back together to make more great music has seemingly made all of the fans mighty proud.

In addition to Finesse, Buckwild, Showbiz, and Diamond, DJ Premier also contributes production on the new album.
