Freeway Premieres His Latest Lyrical Bomb Drop (Audio)

The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania MC known by Freeway and respected the world over is no stranger to inter-regional collaborations. Having released projects with the Jacka from Oakland, California; Jake One from Seattle, Washington; Statik Selektah of Boston, Massachusetts; and of course his extensive work with Mr. New York himself, Jay Z, the Philly Freezer has quite literally forged a Hip-Hop highway across the U.S. map. However, his latest collab has brought him to the other side of the world: Amsterdam. Together with Dutch producer Big Ape, Freeway premieres “Bombdroppaz” today (July 28) on Ambrosia for Heads.

Freeway Celebrates His “Free Will” By Sharing His LP, Early! (Album Stream)

The first of two new tracks Freeway and Big Ape have cooked up, “Bombdroppaz” is uncompromising in its pace. Featuring elements of guitar and a driving bass line, the song matches up perfectly to Freeway’s delivery – which in this case is simultaneously aggressive and nimble. “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bumblebee/Shut down the club, leave the party with the profit/All you rappers talkin’ dough need to stop it/’Cause I got your door money in my pocket,” he growls to any wack MC listening.

Both “Bombdroppaz” and “Primates” will arrive August 12 courtesy of Elite Fleet Records and will be available to Heads in both streaming and digita45 form through all major digital retailers.
