Prince Paul, Ladybug Mecca, Don Newkirk & Rodrigo Form Brookzill! Get A Taste.

Grammy Award-winning producer Prince Paul has announced his latest project. The Long Island, New Yorker teams with fellow Grammy winner Ladybug Mecca of Digable Planets, longtime musical collaborator Don Newkirk (The Dix), and veteran Sao Paulo, Brazil MC Rodrigo Brandão to form BROOKZILL!.

The group combines the sounds of Brazil with the sounds of New York City Hip-Hop, prompting the band name. With Throwback To The Future album plans slated for October, the group—who recorded the LP over several years in Brazil, New York, and Atlanta—called upon guest work by Del The Funky Homosapien, Brian Jackson, Count Bass-D, Mr. Len (Company Flow), Kid Koala, and a litany of musicians.
