Bell Biv Devoe Make A Run With Their First New Song In 15 Years (Video)

It has been 15 years since Bell Biv DeVoe released an official single. That has changed today (September 12), in the form of “Run.” The song and the corresponding video prove to be worth the wait. Ricky, Mike, and Ronnie own their legacy and their era—complete with a Run-D.M.C. stylized logo, a kitted out Jeep Wrangler, and the kind of wardrobe that is back in style like it was 1990 again. Notably, this video is directed by Lionel C. Martin, the same director responsible for memorable visuals such as “Poison” and “Something In Your Eyes.”

This visual from the trio shows the squad is out to own their place as rapping-singing pioneers who can put it down. The drums and bassline from the single repackage that knock (courtesy of Herb Alpert) from The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 #1 smash “Hypnotize” in a way that pays homage to blend tapes, and still comes across as fresh.
