Lloyd Banks Is Releasing A New Mixtape This Week. Here’s The 1st Single (Audio)

Lloyd Banks hasn’t released a studio album since 2010’s H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2), but the Queens, New York MC has been far from quiet. In addition to a handful of mixtapes he’s dropped in the last six years, he spent much of 2015 delivering a series of freestyles in which he took on classic cuts from Black Moon, the Pharcyde, and Raekwon, among others. Most recently, he dropped Halloween Havoc 2 last October, and after teasing the release of All or Nothing: Live It Up for a month, the G-Unit member has now dropped a new single.

Game & Lloyd Banks End Their Beef. 50 Cent Has Questions

Produced by Tha Jerm (who has worked with ScHoolboy Q, Jim Jones, Danny Brown, and others), “Reap What You Sow” is dark yet inspiring and details Lloyd Banks’s thoughts on keeping his circle tight and it includes a reference to the social-media beef prevalent in Rap music today (“social beefin’ is weak so don’t anticipate a post nor a tweet”).

For longtime fans of his flow, the song is emblematic of the more complex side of the spitter, which will likely be on full display come September 25, when All or Nothing: Live It Up (released in partnership with DJ Drama) drops. As Banks announced on Twitter earlier this week, “Time to show these fools how to rap! Get ready!!”
