Trick Or Treat: Lloyd Banks Has Some Ear Candy In A Sweet New Mixtape (Audio)

Just over one month since releasing the All Or Nothin’: Live It Up EP, Lloyd Banks returns with more free music. The Queens, New York veteran punctuated Halloween (October 31) with his Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days Of Fury mixtape. 50 Cent’s longtime right hand stands on his own two feet with one microphone and 14 tracks—presumably recorded in approximately half a week.

This Halloween series goes back to 2008’s DJ Whoo Kid-hosted beginnings, when G-Unit was heavily in-tact and backed by Interscope Records. Now believed to be fully independent, Lambo Lloyd appeases fans with a project that features dark themes, sample-driven beats, complete songwriting down to choruses, and lots of street-tested wisdom.

Few 15 year veterans have thrived on mixtapes as consistently as Banks. Without relying on a multitude of features or controversy of any kind, the raspy-voiced MC hopes to carry on his own tradition.
