Dru Hill Reunite For The Soul Train Awards & Sound As Great As Ever (Video)

It has been more than six years since Dru Hill released an album. The multi-platinum 1990s and 2000s Baltimore, Maryland group reunited for a 2016 Soul Train Awards performance. Opening the show, Sisqó, Jazz, Nokio, and Tao performed a medley of their hits, including the So So Def Remix of 1997 #1 R&B smash “In My Bed.” “Tell Me” and “Beauty” were also rocked on stage, with tight, synchronized routines that called back to some Island/Def Soul Records-era glory.

Sisqó’s most recent album, 2014’s The Last Dragon, featured multiple Dru Hill appearances. Elsewhere during the ceremony (hosted and executive produced by Erykah Badu), Teddy Riley received the 2016  Soul Train Legend Award and performed a medley of his own hits.

Time will soon tell if this is Dru Hill’s march to more hits in the third consecutive decade.
