DJ Jazzy Jeff Shows NOBODY Rocks A Party Like He Can (Video)

For more than 30 years, DJ Jazzy Jeff has been one of the most formidable turntablists in Hip-Hop. Jeff’s techniques literally transformed the way DJs approached moving crowds. As one half of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Jeff was one of the last grandmasters to warrant top billing over the MC, even though that MC was the very capable Will Smith.

Unlike many DJs who faded after splitting from their rapping partner, Jeff has flourished in his solo time. He has released a number of compilations, launched an influential record label, and groomed countless new artists. One thing that has remained consistent, however, has been his ability to rock a party. Often accompanied by masters of ceremony, like Skillz, Jeff’s talent always has been front and center.

Recently, Jeff did a set for Boiler Room, the first in Philadelphia, and he tapped his protege, Dayne Jordan, as the host. Premiered on OkayPlayer, the playlist features a wide variety of artists and genres, including TLC, Talib Kweli, State Property, ScHoolboy Q, Chance The Rapper, Fabolous, Lloyd Banks, Eminem, Lionel Richie, Janet Jackson and countless others. All told, it’s 2 hours of pure goodness.
