Murs & Curtiss King Player Hate On Each Other. The Music Wins In The End (Audio)

At the end of the week, Murs will release his Captain California album. Now an integral part of the Strange Music family, the Los Angeles veteran released a video single to an empathetic look at the role of stress in all of our lives. He follows that up with an entirely different aesthetic in “Lemon Juice.”

This song, featuring one of Murray’s close associates Curtiss King, deals with player-haters. The two MCs poke fun at each other (from cars, to breath, to places of residence) in order to step to the front on a woman both are hoping to holler at. While lighthearted, the record’s concept may be easy to relate to in many circles of friends. While thematic, “Lemon Juice” is not sour on lyrics and dope deliveries too, as these rhyme pros get it in.

This is the song that opens up March 10’s Captain California. King’s critically-acclaimed Raging Waters released list year.
