Taylor Bennett Makes A Birthday Song For Chance That Moves His Brother To Tears (Audio)

Today (April 16) is Chance The Rapper’s 24th birthday. Presumably, “Lil Chano” may be celebrating his big day with family. The MC’s younger brother, Taylor Bennett made some of the festivities public with his own song, “Only Brother (A Special Remix).” Reworking some of Chance’s 2016 cut “D.R.A.M. Sings Special,” the LudLow-produced track is a heartfelt dedication to the older brother who carved a career for himself, but never stopped supporting Taylor, or being a big brother.

The younger Bennett compares his talented Midwestern family to the Jacksons, mentions some of the wisdom and encouragement from Chano’, then details watching big bro’ hit the road with Childish Gambino while he was on the block eating gyros. Even though there was contrast of the two careers at the time, it was temporary. Today, Taylor Bennett tours, has appeared on Sway In The Morning multiple times, and has carved his own identity within Hip-Hop.
