The Trailer For “Black Panther” Previews A Revolution In Superhero Films (Video)

The first full trailer for the highly-anticipated Black Panther has been released, and miraculously all seems right in the world, if only for two minutes and change.

The trailer for Marvel Studios’s Black Panther gives viewers a closer look at Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Angela Bassett, and the film’s other A-list talent in action, while also offering up glimpses of the Afro-futuristic country, Wakanda.

The full trailer for Black Panther comes well over a year after its director, Ryan Coogler introduced the cast at Comic Con San Diego.

Hip-Hop plays yet another pivotal role in the Black Panther trailer, thanks to the addition of Vince Staples’ Big Fish Theory single, “BagBak.” The trailer also boasts an audio appearance from a remixed version of Gil Scott-Heron’s “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.” A previous teaser for Black Panther made use of Run The Jewels’ bouncy, “Legend Has It.”

Black Panther is scheduled for release in theaters on February 16, 2018.
