Kanye West Says He Produced Nas’ Next Album & Shares The Release Date

Last week, Kanye West used his rediscovered enjoyment for tweeting to announce four albums. The G.O.O.D. Music founder revealed his next release (an apparent EP), a collaboration with Kid Cudi, and new label releases from Pusha T and Teyana Taylor.

Tonight (April 22), West provided some more detail on his upcoming works, as well as another blockbuster LP in the mix. “I’m hand producing all the albums I tweeted about. Been chopping samples from the sunken place,” tweeted the superstar, referencing Get Out.

Adding another album to his 2018 itinerary, West confirmed a release date for Nas’ next album. Online, Kanye announced that Nasir Jones’ upcoming LP will arrive June 15. Based on the previous tweet’s connection, the producer is hand-picking Esco’s upcoming record.

Previously, West has produced Nas material since Jermaine Dupri’s Life In 1472 intro. He later handled a track on 2002’s Lost Tapes, and two cuts on 2006’s Hip Hop Is Dead. West also featured Nasir on Late Registration. Nas was also reported as a confirmed guest during West’s recent Wyoming recording sessions.
