Fabolous Flips Boo’d Up & Says Don’t Be Boo Boo The Fool (Audio)

While English songstress Ella Mai dropped the EP (Ready) that featured “Boo’d Up” last year, the song was dropped as a single this year and is only now getting the attention it deserves. One of DJ Mustard’s 10 Summers flagship artists released an official remix with Nicki Minaj and Quavo earlier this week, and it naturally generated quite a buzz. One of the reigning kings of R&B/Rap collaborations, Fabolous, dropped his version just one day later.

While fans have been waiting for a couple of years for The Young OG Project II, they did finally get that Jadakiss vs. Loso’ full-length joint at the end of 2017. After a couple of videos for that project, Fab’ has been relatively quiet in 2018. Then this week he dropped a couple of verses and a new vid. “Boo’d Up” is the perfect cut to jump on to heat up the Summer.

He opens the track with a verse that can only be explained as a hustler’s prayer. His bars play on the “boo” part of the “Listen to my heart go boo’d up” chorus. He sparks it off with: “See I’m a hustler, only boo I wanted was a Bugatti / But if you got one riding with you, better keep your boo shottie / ‘Cause ain’t nothing out here but cloud-chasers in cheap heels / They all got a dream they out chasing like Meek Mill / I tell ‘em straight up, without chaser, I speak real.” This Brooklyn badman don’t stop.
