No longer relegated to the streets with picket signs, modern-day activists are taking their protests to where they can be heard the loudest, and it seems to be working. This population includes prominent Rap artists. Today (September 4), Bronx, New York MC Mysonne stood up to oppose Donald Trump’s latest pick for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh. In a video on Justice League USA’s Twitter account, Mysonne can be heard yelling “He is a threat to this democracy” as he is forcibly removed from the courtroom by bailiffs.

The official hearings for Kavanaugh started today in Washington, D.C., and Mysonne isn’t alone in his opposition of the controversial politician. According to Bloomberg, Capitol Police report that more than 70 arrests were made on Tuesday. Should the United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit make it through the questioning on the Senate Judiciary Committee, he will be appointed as the ninth Supreme Court justice.
