I absolutely love this. Veteran Mobb Deep affiliate Illa Ghee continues his recent run with Sean Price—who, mind you, is one of the most ferocious freestylers left in Hip-Hop. Over-top of Kraftwerk’s “Trans Europe Express” (posted below, it’s also the basis for Afrika Bambaataa & The Soulsonic Force’s “Planet Rock”), these two Brooklyn bruts bounces bars filled with humor, threats and that classic O.G. lexicon that makes Sean P even better now than in his Heltah Skeltah days. You’re probably not supposed to call Hip-Hop whimsical, but I’m going to. This is off-the-dome music that I can personally be excited about. Shout out to all the comedic tough-guys.
