New mixtape? Upcoming album? Lyrical jabs at Jay Z and Yeezy?

It seems Lupe Fiasco’s cryptic announcement posed almost as many questions as it did answers, but what we do know for sure is that a new project is on its way. The Chicago MC took to Twitter Sunday night and revealed the project is to be called Peace of Paper/Cup of Jayzus, and will be released on September 13. More intriguing however, were the photos of lyrics Lupe released alongside his announcement. Included within the wordplay are lines such as “Back track to stolen plates / What’s a closed wallet to an open safe / Peace of Paper / Cup of Jayzus, what we writing? / These ain’t entendres these is secret indictments.”

Lupe’s a hard one to figure out, so what do you think is going on?
