50 Cent – Warning You ft Skylar Grey

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Please don’t be fooled by Skylar Grey’s Recovery-esque smooth singing to open up the track (it supposedly came from an Eminem session)… the beat breaks and 50 Cent kicks things off talking about his JMJ Records era. “Warning You” does just that. Perhaps Fif’s upcoming album (following a four-year break at retail) will walk that careful line between commercial and street. Ten years after Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, this track is true to form. Sometimes 50’s not given proper credit for his storytelling (remember the chilling aftermath of “Ghetto Qu’ran”?). Well, he’s back at it. Personally speaking, this is my favorite track from the G-Unit honcho in at least a year-and-a-half. It’s not mixed yet, but at least on computer speakers, that kind of has the late ’90s mixtape-feel of the verses.
