Reap The Naturaw Gets Heat From Large Professor On The Wild Wild (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home, but we need your help to make it great. Please subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

The great Hip-Hop producers always seem to have a soft-spot for the hardcore storytellers. While not lyricists by some technical standards, Brooklyn duo Group Home was worthy of some of DJ Premier’s finest creations on their Livin’ Proof 1995 debut album. RZA looked out for Wu Killa Bees such as Black Knights, Timbo King, and Lord Superb on 2002’s The Sting. Dr. Dre’s laced joints for Young Buck, 40 Glocc, and Cashis. That said, one who has been particularly immersed in promoting raw accounts of street life has been Large Professor.

Extra P furthers this trend, linking with relative newcomer Reap The Naturaw on “The Wild Wild.” The beat knocks up there with some of Large’s best in the last five years (see REKS’ Grey Hairs if you want contenders), and the technician has fun in the video with some lights behind the teeth for extra value. One of the greatest ears for talent in the last 24 years keeps it wild, like his first label.
