Terrace Martin Gives Drake’s From Time The Electro-Jazz Treatment (Audio)

Los Angeles-based Terrace Martin has been stepping out since Snoop Dogg’s Ego Trippin’ album. The Locke High alum has many styles, which are evident from his dynamic works with Kendrick Lamar, Kurupt, or Snoop. With his horn, keys, and synths, Terrace can make anything his own, while sharing it with others. Drake’s “From Time,” a cut on Nothing Was The Same, Terrace borrows, and in recreating it, makes it something totally different.

This reminds me of Wes Montgomery’s wonderful Beatles covers, and the cover-culture across genre in the ’60s.
