Check Out Jay Shells Hitting L.A. With Street Signs Of Lyrics By Ice Cube, DJ Quik, Xzibit & Kendrick Lamar (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Previously, artist Jay Shells canvased the streets of New York at Hip-Hop lyric landmarks with street signs reminding those in the know. These discreet-looking acts of guerilla street art were a hit to Heads in passing, as well as on the Internet.

Now Shells hits the streets of L.A., placing his signs at the landmarks mentioned in lyrics by Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, Defari, Xzibit, Frank Ocean, People Under The Stairs, Fatlip, Crooked I, AMG, Dom Kennedy, Kendrick Lamar, as well as East Coast acts like The Notorious B.I.G. and Action Bronson. Especially if you’ve never been on the left side, you’ll appreciate seeing these places in living color. Moreover, Shells gets lots of love on the streets from cats.
