Elzhi Recaps Things (Audio)
After going relatively quietly the last year and a half, Elzhi has been a tear lately—as he should. The interim (and deeply pivotal) Slum Village member achieved his funding goals ($25,000) for his Kickstarter project. As a result, the 500+ fans who made it happen (and more) will soon be receiving a proper follow-up to 2008’s The Preface.
“The Recap” falls in line with the music as of late: honest, meaningful, revealing, all with that lyricism that impressed the likes of The Roots, Little Brother, and the CalTroit crew.
