Kendrick Lamar has been down with YMCMB family for almost three years, courtesy of recordings and touring with Drake. With Jay Rock’s early collaborations with Lil Wayne, the whole TDE and Young Money team share some affinities.

On Cash Money’s first label compilation since 2000’s Baller Blockin’ Soundtrack, the greatly-expanded label recruited Chris Brown, Rick Ross, and Flo Rida for the 2013 Rich Gang project. On “100 Favors,” Birdman and longtime YMCMB producer-turned-artist (remember when they almost signed Kanye West?) Detail thank the loves of their life. After the second verse, the beat breaks and Kendrick Lamar comes in with a verse of another color. K-Dot delivered the bars with heart in the “Rich Gang” video, complete with mansions, waterfront property, and all that.
