It’s Organized Konfusion As Pharoahe Monch & O.C. Rock With Prince Po & Oh No (Audio)

Just last year, Pharoahe Monch and Prince Po cracked the mic together on Marco Polo’s PA2: The Director’s Cut. The Queens, New York vets have been in the news a lot lately, with last week’s reunion show in NYC, celebrating the 20th anniversary of cult-championed sophomore LP, Stress: The Extinction Agenda.

Well, it’s great timing for Po and Mo’ to be in the spotlight again. Monch just announced his fourth solo LP for April, while Prince Poetry is releasing his full-length collaboration with Oh No, Animal Serum, which releases today (February 4).

On “Smash,” the Po and Oh invite Pharoahe and longtime O.K. close affiliate O.C. to the mix. Over-top some famous “shuffling” samples that DJ Muggs has approved of, the guys kick syncopated bars over dusty horns and drums. This is a welcomed return of O.C. to Organized cypher, as the three were reportedly debating an expanded reunion over a decade ago that never transpired.
