Did Mobb Deep Get Infamous By Design On Say Something? (Audio)
Mobb Deep has a challenge ahead of them. Prodigy and Havoc are releasing (April 1st’s The Infamous Mobb Deep) some never before heard 1994 and 1995 recordings, of The Infamous era. Arguably Mobb’s best stride as far as influencing other acts and connecting with a New York Hip-Hop renaissance worldwide, those holdovers will be met with some new recordings, reportedly of that “take no prisoners” ilk. Among the inclusions is “Say Something.” Produced by New Jersey native !llmind, who has worked with Skyzoo, Eminem, and Boot Camp Clik (as well as Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. camp), this joint has the same plastic can percussion that drove The Notorious B.I.G.’s posthumous-released “Dead Wrong.” P and Hav are certainly on one, as far as the lyrics’ tone.
How’s this measure up with the format to you?
