Nasty Nas has had a few labels in his career, from Ill Will Records to The Jones Experience. Along the way, Nas oversaw a few critical projects from his brother Jungle and The Braveheartz, to the QB’s Finest compilation aligning legends with Queensbridge emerging voices. Nas famously inked a deal with Virginia MC Quan to follow, who worked with the MC on Street’s Disciple. Along the way, from AZ to Nature to Cormega (who was on wax in 1991, same as N-A-S) to Lakey Da Kid, plenty of artists have gotten “on,” in part, from Nas’ association.

Well, the Internets are abuzz that after some years removed from cosigning other artists on a business level that Nas has his sights set on Boldy James. The Detroit, Michigan MC and Alchemist affiliate is signed to Decon, which is the same group that re-launched Mass Appeal magazine, which Nas invested in.

Well, in Austin, Texas last week, grumblings emerged that Nas is going to ink Boldy to a new imprint with Mass Appeal. With that confirmation all but in the air, peep this just-released footage of Nas’ support of Boldy on stage during 2014 South By Southwest.
