Peep The Words From The Genius. GZA Gives A Teen TED Talk About Hip-Hop Helping His Love Of Science (Video)

GZA has kicked since for 23 years and counting. The Genius, since his days running with Marley Marl and Cold Chillin’ Records’ Fly Ty Williams, has been an MC who stuffed a lot of information in his verses. Now, since the boom of the Wu-Tang Clan, GZA joins the likes of Rakim, KRS-One, Canibus, Ras Kass and others, as one of the most informed rappers, encouraging listeners to go the extra mile to understand the rhymes.

As a result of this reputation, GZA has lectured at Massachusetts Institute Of Technology and other prestigious academic institutions, pairing science with art based on his own experiences. Continuing this thought, GZA helped launch (with Columbia University’s Christopher Emdin and the friends at Rap Genius) Science Genius. Within the multi-week program, GZA did a Teen TED Talk, aimed at high school students with passions for both art and science:
