Two giants in the mental: Sadat X and Cormega link up for “Fire.” The jazzier track, led by Lanelle Tyler has a cooled-out ’70s feel that was re-popularized in the mid-’90s, around the time ‘Mega was making a name, and Datty X was trying his hand at solo LPs. The lyrics and theme of the record are all about persistence and passion, which these O.G.’s (who worked together four years ago) certainly carry.

In other news, it’s been confirmed that Sadat X and The Artifacts’ El Da Sensei are working on a collaborative album for later this year.
