One of the flag-wavers in the J Dilla/Jay Dee legacy is The Yancey Boys. The Delicious Vinyl Records-backed outfit of Illa J (Dilla’s brother) and Frank Nitti (of Frank-N-Dank), along with the posthumous works of Jay Dee has made some celebrated music since 2006, when the world lost a luminary. Few of those efforts feel as great as “Lovin U.” This new video, featuring the vocal stylings of Foreign Exchange affiliate Eric Roberson, is the latest in a series of songs J Dilla made that really spoke to lovers. This is from the recently-released Sunset Blvd. LP.

Is 2014 the best year of unreleased J Dilla music yet?
