Last year, DJ Skizz’s BQE album celebrated some New York Hip-Hop history, with members of The Juice Crew, D.I.T.C., M.O.P., and The Firm all on the same 2013 LP.

This year, the NYC-based producer is already hitting the ground running. “That Dope” is made by Shabaam Sahdeeq. The MC was signed to Rawkus Records at the height of the Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharaohe Monch era, but never released a full-length due to incarceration. ‘Baam is back out now, and working hard, with Wais P (who, ironically was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records with The Ranjahz), although the duo never dropped, as well as Sha Stimuli (who was signed to Virgin Records, but never dropped)… see the theme here? Well, regardless of what the label system may have thought, these three dudes are dope, and so is the beat with amazing scratch-chorus that Skizz laced.
