Check Out The Ultimate Unofficial Erykah Badu Mixtape, Featuring Rarities & Unreleased Remixes (Mixtape)

For 17 years, spanning five LPs and one live effort, Erykah Badu has helped change Soul/R&B music forever. The Dallas, Texas native approached her genre with a keen appreciation for Hip-Hop all along, and found Everywoman (and Everyman) subject matters to breathe organic life into her field at a time when music was getting a little shiny, and a lot synthetic.

Along the way, Badu’s worked with Madlib, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Sa-Ra Creative Partners, and of course, Common and OutKast.

Mixmaster Question approached “Fat Baby Bella’s” catalog, and applied a lens of deconstruction, looking at the musical elements that go into the joints that Erykah’s made, as well as some extremely rare remixes from the Motown Records veteran star who’s garnered multiple Grammy Awards. He’s put all these gems together in a mix called Baduist. Check the stream below.
