Joell Ortiz is having quite the active first half of 2014. The Slaughterhouse affiliate has completed House Rules, a mixtape with the rest of the Shady Records Hip-Hop group, and has recently signed to Penalty Entertainment to assist in the release of his upcoming solo album, House Slippers. Housing such artists as Noreaga, The Beatnuts, Crooked Lettaz, and Lord Finesse in the early days, Penalty Entertainment retooled and regrouped itself (formerly Penalty Records) at the beginning of this year under Sony’s RED Distribution and signed artists Hi-Rez and Hip-Hop group eMC, consisting of Masta Ace, Punchline, Wordsworth and Strick.

It’s been three years since Joell released his last individual effort, Free Agent, and now, fans find out what’s up with the Brooklyn rapper and get a taste of his new material with his latest visual effort to The Heatmakerz produced title track, “House Slippers.”
