Atlanta, Georgia’s Retro (a/k/a Retro Tha Kid) has a delicate balance of youthful imagination and grown-up perspective. In two videos, “Wonderland” and “Resist,” Heads can see just how vivid one of those things is. Clearly a student of the Trap sound, Retro makes records that apply to anybody who can picture the wordsmith’s art, and relate to his experiences.

Highly stylized (sonically and visually), Retro’s style is not unlike the far-reaching, out of this world approaches of his contemporaries such as Travi$ Scott or A$AP Ferg.
