Snoop Dogg & William Bell Forgot To Be Your Lover (Video)

Snoop Dogg pens a quick 16 and joins William Bell in the studio for a little behind the scenes look at the remake of Bell’s ’68, gracefully soulful jam, “I Forgot To Be Your Lover.”

The powerfully emotive love ballad is featured in the upcoming film, Take Me to the River. The documentary takes an inside view of American music’s “soul” and follows multi-generational artists including Mavis Staples, Otis Clay, Lil P-Nut, Charlie Musselwhite, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Yo Gotti, Bobby Rush, Frayser Boy, The North Mississippi All-Stars and more from Stax Records, Memphis, and the Mississippi Delta as they create and record an all new album dedicated to Memphis’ musical past.
