Rapsody Says It’s Hard To Choose, But It’s Not Hard To Choose Rapsody (Audio)

Leading up October 7’s Beauty And The Beast, Rapsody is pulling out all the stops. “Hard To Choose,” produced by 9th Wonder, takes strong audit of the North Carolina native’s career, and choices as such. Citing everybody from DJ Kool Herc to Afrika Bambaataa to MC Lyte, Rap’ explains the kind of Hip-Hop she’s decided to make, knowing the hard road she faces in reaching the greater masses.

Going a step beyond, the Kooley High alum breaks down how she wishes more Black fans were at her shows, or bigging up the work she’s doing—still showing great appreciation to the fans of other races who, she says, largely comprise her audience.

Sprinkled in, are some dazzling wordplay, bragging and boasting, and tremendous perspective that make Beauty And The Beast one of the most exciting releases in the horizon.
