From his Bangin’ On Wax tapes beginnings to the Death Row Records years to his Twitter account, DJ Quik doesn’t hold back. The Compton, California triple-threat loves to pop his collar and pop a little talk. “Pet Sematary” is the latest vehicle.
Built around some jazzy G-Funk, with some live brass and piano playing (read: one of the best Quik beats Heads have heard in the last 10 years), Quik makes another “medley for the V” in the first verse, before laughing at the rumors circling Hub city about his jaw getting broken, and then into some bragging about his Gucci wallet and good-life living:
