A 15-second preview of a yet-untitled, little-known-about song as news. You can count the artists on one hand whose work would justify that as “News.” Certainly, 20-year veteran Andre 3000 is one of the few, the proud.

Timbaland previews (via Facebook video, no less) a fourth of a minute of music from 3 Stacks and Jhene (UPDATE: Tink is believed to be the guest vocalist, not Jhene Aiko, as first thought), presumably produced by Tim. Interestingly enough, while Timbo worked with Big Boi and Nicole Wray on Missy Elliott’s single “All N’ My Grill” back in the ’90s, the Andre 3000 ties are slim-to-unknown, despite being two 20-year vets who helped bring Southern Hip-Hop into the mainstream, both creators of wild, unconventional beat rhythms.

The way the Internet works, think Heads’ll get the full version by week’s end? Is this the kind of look Jhene’s (Tink’s) talent needs to further captivate the mainstream?
