Nearly five years ago, Jay Electronica’s skills and popularity grew immensely through a string of Just Blaze-produced singles, a Reflection Eternal feature, and an overall mystique surrounding the New Orleans, Louisiana native who was then-attached to Erykah Badu.

Around that time, Jay played a lengthy excursion through India, Nepal and other Asian destinations. Parts of that trip have surfaced in small form (2009’s “Dear Moleskine”), though the full-length Into The Light has remained in production ever since. Directed by acclaimed music video visionary Jason Goldwatch (Decon/Mass Appeal), Heads got another five minute poetic glimpse of that journey, in trailer form. Narration colors the significance of the spiritual trip to Jay Electronica and his career, with additional footage from New York City and an undisclosed recording studio.

Are more than seven years of seeds about to grow for the mysterious MC/producer down with Roc Nation?
