In 2014, co-production in from some producers is very rare. Two such cases are Alchemist and Statik Selektah. Eminem’s DJ and Q-Tip’s (onetime) DJ are two respected sources on the boards, and while they work with a lot of the same cats (Action Bronson, The LOX, Dilated Peoples), they aren’t the type to reach for another producer’s input.

“El Wave” breaks from that logic. The Termanology record features Willie The Kid and REKS, and some dope couplets to match the smooth, dusty beat. This is from the 1982 member’s latest in a his mounting discography, Shut Up And Rap.
