Common Honors Veterans Day & Those Who Served In A Spoken Word Piece (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home, but we need your help to make it great. Please subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

Recently, Common performed “This War We Fight” at The White House, in honor of Veteran’s Day and those who served in the United States Armed Forces. On the day of remembrance (November 11), Comm’ releases the video of him delivering the rhyming, Spoken Word poem.

Looking out the window in black & white, Common delivers his piece that includes all those, and looks closely at sacrifice, at soul, and at taking the harder road. Take heed:

Do you think Common, with efforts like this, and his Nobody Smiling album, is poised to be considered as 2014’s Person Of The Year?
