Moreover, Soul Brother #1 is bringing some of his own inspirations with him. Where NYC’s Lower East Side and Chinatown meet, the Mount Vernon, New Yorker will be spinning monthly at Louie & Chan. The event will be known as Deadly Dragon Sound, and features Pete and a special monthly guest. For the November 7 debut, the onetime Elektra Records star is bringing Japan’s heralded crate-digger/mixmaster DJ Muro with him.

“I love Soul, I love Reggae and you know I love Hip Hop. I don’t think enough DJs are playing what they love and what they have been inspired by. I am going to have a place for them to come, DJ and chill,” explained Pete. “That’s my life and passion and I am going to continue to share it with my hometown and world. And yes we are playing vinyl.”
