Dee-1 Makes Thoughtful Bounce Music, Evident In This Backroom Freestyle (Video)

Hi. We recently created AFH TV, Ambrosia For Heads’ streaming video service, because we believe real Hip-Hop deserves its own dedicated TV home. But, there are doubters, so, we need your help. If you have enjoyed anything on AFH over the last 7 years, we are asking you to subscribe to AFH TV. It is only $1.99/month or $12/year, and already features some amazing content, but the best is yet to come. Thank you for all of your support.

New Orleans, Louisiana MC Dee-1 has the respect and support of some of the Bayou City’s masters of Bounce. Mannie Fresh and Juvenile both clamored to work with the RCA Records-backed artist. In his recent appearance in “106 & Park’s” The Backroom, Dee delivers lyrics with substance and flare at once.

The appeal of the Hot Boys-era Cash Money Records are heard, with some of the substance of Mac or Magnolia Slim can be heard as Dee-1 breaks down his story, and the world he comes from:

Half of the video features a special PSA from the Murs-cosigned artist, calling this visual presentation “an accurate depiction of my career.”

Is Dee-1 the next artist of note out of N’awlins?
