J-Live Releases Two In One, Filled With Warmth & Light (Videos)

J-Live’s Around The Sun is an album worthy of revolutions in your CD player, turntable, or simply in your MP3 player/streaming cloud. The Brooklyn, New Yorker remains devoted to cohesive projects, with strong commentary on social issues, in addition to life issues Heads all go through.

For a compelling visual, Justice Allah did a two-fer in “Around The Sun (Solstice)” and “8 Minutes.” The former, the LP’s title track, is shot in what photographers call “the magic hour,” filling the lens with warm, golden light. The latter, a contemporary ode to the Doug E. Fresh and Get Fresh Crew routine, slides in nicely. Wordplay exists in the song, and quite literally, in the visual:
