Lauryn Hill Does an Energetic Rendition Of The Fugees’ Ready Or Not (Video)

Lauryn Hill is not an artist who frequently looks back into her catalog. A solo artist for more than 15 years, following the disbanding of The Fugees, Ms. Hill simply does not need to rely on her vast body of hits from 1996’s The Score.

However, while performing with an extensive band at the Brooklyn Bowl, L-Boogie revisited the third single, “Ready Or Not,” from The Score, which in of itself, dusted off a classic Delfonics record. Professionally shot, Heads will quickly notice that Ms. Hill performs the song in a vastly different way than it sounds on album. The tone, energy level, and instrumentation of the single are wildly different. In the process, Lauryn’s flow is altered—but still sounding sharp.

This song is part of a two-hour concert that is currently available on most cable pay-per-view platforms.
