Released in November of 2013, Pharrell’s “Happy,” the lead-single from his sophomore album, G I R L, takes the honors of being iTunes’ best-selling song of 2014, per a XXL report. Written and produced by Pharrell, the I Am Other launchpad also took top-steaming honors for ’14 on the Spotify platform.

After 2014’s G I R L scored Pharrell a gold-certified RIAA plaque on domestic sales (with a reported 1,000,000-plus internationally), the N*E*R*D front man’s first solo LP, 2006’s In My Mind remains without a certification as a single or whole.
