Yes-Men & Soft Rap Lovers Are Poked Fun At Featuring PRhyme, Miguel & Lady Of Rage (Video)

Funny Or Die linking with PRhyme doesn’t seem too expected. Still, the online video channel knows their Hip-Hop, and in celebration of the new self-titled album by DJ Premier, Royce Da 5’9″, and Adrian Younge, they rolled to the studio.

Specifically, Funny Or Die appears to be tongue-in-cheek making fun of the name-seeking rappers/managers, who chase down trends. Premier, who is at the top of the food-chain in Hip-Hop production, plays a beat for a rep and Royce Da 5’9″ that sounds nothing like you’d expect (and we’ll leave it at that). As the sketch unfolds, The Lady Of Rage and Miguel make cameos.

In addition to the sounds and the over-arching joke, some of the little dialogue only adds to the laugh-factor. From Royce’s interjection of “Limp Bizkit” to a Ringo Starr laugh at the end, there’s a lot to love about this.
