Cormega Confirms 2015 EP, Produced Entirely By Mobb Deep’s Havoc

Following 2014’s critically-acclaimed Mega Philosophy album by Cormega (now available on colored 2LP vinyl), it appears as though the Queens, New York veteran MC is well underway into a follow-up. Yesterday (January 14), ‘Mega announced, via Twitter, that he is currently planning his first EP, produced entirely by Havoc, of Mobb Deep. At this time, no title has been announced.

Cory and Hav’ go back more than 15 years, collaboratively. Havoc produced “Killaz Theme” on Cormega’s 1998-intended debut, The Testament. Intended to be released by Violator/Def Jam, the shelved album would come via ‘Mega’s Legal Hustle imprint on February 22, 2005. Havoc would produce a sequel to the song, in addition to “Thun & Kicko” on the MC’s first-released album and Top 200 breakthrough, The Realness. ‘Mega would also appear on Mobb Deep’s multi-platinum fourth album, Murda Muzik, on the track “What’s Ya Poison?”

One of Havoc’s mentors, Large Professor, produced all of Mega Philosophy, with additional work by Cormega.
